Flight Air France AF 724, which departed from Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 11:26, made a normal landing in Nouakchott (Mauritania) on Monday 9 March 2015 at 15:33 (local time).
During the taxiing phase, the aircraft turned around at the end of the runway in order to reach its parking stand.
During this manoeuvre, the aircraft, whose nose gear wheel entered soft ground at the edge of the runway, came to a stop.
The 214 passengers disembarked normally.
The aircraft was towed onto the runway and returned to service. There was no damage to the aircraft. Air France on-site maintenance teams carried out the necessary technical inspections.
