Due to hose connection issue, more than 1,000 gallons of jet fuel was spilled at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta Airport

More than 1,000 gallons of jet fuel was spilled Thursday morning at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

According to Atlanta fire department officials, a plane at Gate E-33 was being refueled when a problem developed with a hose connection.

Some other nearby gates were also cleared as a precaution.
