American Airlines will phase out its Boeing 757-200 aircraft on some of its Hawaii routes and replace them with the single-aisle Airbus A321 aircraft, according to a report from Airways News. The aircraft will have wing sharklets to extend its range and will be a subfleet of its A321 operations with Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards, or ETOPS, certification.
