An Air China passenger plane today made an emergency landing in eastern China due to mechanical faults.

The flight CA1802 landed in Hefei which is the capital and largest city of Anhui Province.

The Boeing 737 coming from Xiamen City in east China’s Fujian Province to Beijing was forced to land in Hefei at 9:17 am local time due to suspected mechanical faults in it, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

Passengers have been evacuated off the plane.
